Get Ready for National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week 2019

The most successful National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week (NDAFW) activities start with early planning, and January 22-27 will be here before you know it!

Stuck on how to get started? Check out these ideas from previous NDAFW event planners for inspiration.

  • Think beyond the school day. Conduct events with afterschool programs, clubs, or sports teams.
  • Build drug and alcohol facts into creative assignments such as videos, art projects, and creative writing assignments, to be displayed during NDAFW.
  • Use the morning announcements to shatter a different drug myth each day during NDAFW.
  • Host an information session for parents and community members.
  • Create a series of social media messages or posters to help youth understand the real stats on drug and alcohol use.

Visit NIDA's website for teens to get more facts and resources about drugs and alcohol year-round.
